Prospective Member Requirements

To be eligible to join a fraternity or sorority at UTA, you must be a first-semester admitted student to UTA (freshmen or transfer) OR a current UTA student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5. While Chapters may have other requirements you must also register with the Fraternity & Sorority Life Office before joining a Greek organization.

 

Initiation requirements

Our new member education program is 8 weeks and is much different from other fraternities. We are non-secret and non-hazing; DU is the only International Fraternity founded on these principles. That means there is no hazing of any kind within our chapter, and our chapter meetings are open to the public.

 

In order to be initiated, an associate member must complete the new member education program, score 90% or above on all new member tests, and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher. An example of our Associate New Member Manual can be viewed here.
